Prof. Valladares is holding the Tornado up during the final critique. I am still working on creating an appropriate support for this sculpture, so more photos will be posted as they become available.

Tornado, Dragon Head, Fireball and Cloud
Maybe this shot tells a better story. I may use the rod coiled up next to the sculpture for some added strength to help support the weight of the whole thing once it stands on its own. We shall see…
Tornado, Dragon Head, Fireball and Cloud
Can you see all 4 items? Does it make visual sense???
Dragon Head, Fireball and Cloud
It’s hard to get a real sense of what this sculpture will look like once it is free standing, but at least you can see the direction it is going in.
FINALLY! I was …
FINALLY! I was able to get the three vertical components of this sculpture ready to be welded onto the main piece. After that was accomplished, Wilfredo and I looked at it and discussed how to make it stand up on its own. That stage will start tomorrow. I am guessing it will require far more time than I think it will right now… but then again, perhaps not. I will post an image or two of the sculpture as I left it in studio at the end of the day.

Cut, polished and ready to go!
Thinking it through…
Summer, tornadoes and dragons, OH MY!
